Right my mate owns a bodyshop and has got all the welding equipment could he cut out my centre silencer and weld a pipe to replace it...
if so were could i get the pipe from and should i over lap it..

put flanges on either side of the pipes so you can put the box back on for mot purposes or such like

Im only after removeing the middle box thats all and keeping the cat

u can use a straight bit of pipe from an old exhaust.
No need to keep the middle box for MOT.

in my experience, removing the middle box and keeping the cat make's little differnece, not worth doing if your keeping the cat, as you'll find the noise level is bearly noticable.

i removed the centre box from mine, dont do it
1) it was no louder
2) the exhaust became really raspy
3) the car made less power on a rolling road afterwards

Well mine sounded better, but didnt make a gain in power at all.
