mates getting a LET and F28 for his nova, currently has an XE and F20 in it, whats the main hassles involved? understand the intercooler will be a pain, but anything else? what mounts? what needs modified to fit the F28?

The old gearbox mount has to be cut off and a new one welded in. These can be brought from a few places, one lad on mig does them. You also have to cut and shorten the gearbox linkage.

You can sort of see my cars mount there. I will take some better pic's of it on monday if you want?

as said the bodywork mount on the gearbox side has to be cut off and another mount like the o/s one welded on. so you can use the same rubber mount as the o/s engine mount. then a mount made to suit.
andy16vturbo on mig does a kit ready to weld on. (however i made my own)
on the back of the gearbox two hole need drilling out and tapping to 12x1.75 thread so the gearlinkage/mount can be fitted, then you use the same setup as the xe for the linkage.
everything else is as the xe

cool, this has already been done from when the box was in my astra! so one step ahead! just the front mount we need then

also the linkage needs shortening in another place too.
the bit that comes out the box that the rod from the rest of the linkage goes on to. this is two pieces with a rod in the middle.
it needs making as short as possible but sill keeping the same angle
