i paid £1200 for insuring my xe corsa, 20yr old 0 ncb.
Been reliable so far after 700 miles, not had probs with the engine at all its ran fine, just had my calipers come loose on each side once!

I pay £230 for my XE corsa 29yr old, 2 yrs ncb
As for it being reliable I've had mine for 4 yrs now and the only thing that went wrong with the engine was the head gasket which was my fault as I rin it for 10 miles without any water lol
Its all fixed now and running better than ever

If i had an XE again id want it to come with a recent rebuild or i'd buy an engine myself and re do it.
Good thing about the v6's is that most were on an auto box, so reduces the chances of being thrashed.

yup, thats very true. Just get a v6.
Fozzy will have an arden blue 3ltr tigra for sale soon for about £4500.

The blue one in schoey's garage wasn't on the road long before it was written off,but in the flesh it looked mint! Very tidy motor, it was an MV6.
There is a 3litre Corsa C in my town, feck me does it go, and it sounds the bee's knee's!
Carabic Blue GSi V6, Red GSi V6, another Carabic Blue GSi V6 with a carbon bonnet and maybe one more.
I think there was a v6 turbo done as well but i dont think the lad lives around lincoln, just had it done here, schoey will know. It was featured in TV a while back, spent alot on management to get it to run right. When the company gave him it back, he wished him look or something along those lines as its just lethal!

you can keep both if you desire, its down to personal preference. If you dont buiild it yourself you may strggle to find anyone who has tho!

I didnt know if it was the norm or not...
i can imagine powersteering being kept on most of the conversions but I could be very wrong?

most people get rid of it as its completely unecessary on a car the size of a corsa, and IMO feels rubbish. Aircon is more challenging to hold onto and very few donor corsas had it in the first place.

My insurance was cheap as I'm older and alot of no claims..
My XE was my daily driver and had no problems on that front at all..
Only things that started going wrong were things associated with a 12 year old chassis etc.
