Hi ppl, just changed my std ECU chip for a Superchip one on my 94 C16XE GSi, turn the key and it turns over but doesn't fire, put the std chip in and it runs like normal.
I bought the chip secondhand off eBay and the seller said that it was working.
Before I get into a row with the seller is there anything I could be doing wrong? I put the chip in the same way as the standard chip (i.e chip notch facing the same way) and no joy.
My GSi is a 94 (early) model so doesn't have the immob in the ignition key as far as I can tell (opened the key and there is just the lightbulb/spring and battery for the light.
Any help ASAP would be great
Cheers
Jules

I'm surprised you bought one off eBay of all places!!
Probably not even compatible with the car.
