P1's management wasn't meant to be all that good for engine i heard.

Yes, but not with the P1s, IIRC, there is a design fault with the engines

Some didnt

Most were covered by warrenty....


Get a knocklink ecu should be fine and as jade/col says look after it!

knocklinks help.... but isnt going to stop DET.

TypeR is a much better bet over a P1... get a mint example for 10k

same car, less cost

you could consider an ITR like mine, not too expensive to buy, good residuals when you go to sell, not as quick, but great handling and cheaper to run, and look as good IMO!
