In Brazil IF the gov't can sort out the stadia, sort out the infrastructure AND (the reason I suspect they won't get it) clear the drug barons and take control of the country (ie no 30 prison riots at same time and no shutting down of Rio etc!)

I personally think it would be great to be held in Brazil but you always hear the F1 drivers saying they hate being in that country :S

If Brazil fail then Chile/Argentina want to do it but FIFA have said NO joint bids...

That leaves Australia... great bet for the 2022(!) WC if they fail but how great would an Aussie WC be!!

That leaves 2018 free to return to Europe (surely can't stay out of the majority of teams home continent for 16 years!) and therefore to ENGLAND (or maybe the UK :S ) We'd have an embarrassment of riches re. Stadia..

Wembley
Emirates Stadium
Old Trafford
Stamford Bridge (only 2 stadia can be in ONE city so no)
Olympic Stadium ( see Chelski)
Eastlands (see Man U)
New Anfield
New Everton (see Liverpool)
New Birmingham (?)
Stadium of Light
St James Park
Villa Park ( )

etc. etc.

No real European threats... Holland/Belgium but see above, Spain - had it in 1982 then Portugal (recent Euros), Italy/Germany/France - recent WC... Denmark, Sweden... bit iffy!! Greece? Had success with Olympics

Perhaps Russia but again, bit iffy!

Australia 2014 would be spot on. Look how well they did with the Olympics and Commonwealth Games.

Then England 2018, i'll be 35 years young

If you join England fans, and you get offered a ticket, GET IT, even if you aint going to the game. Tickets dont come very often so you need to get any that become available to gain caps.

I was a member of the old Members club when you needed tickets for home games as well as away games. Had to apply for every game but never managed to get any for the aways so never bothered re-newing. Wish I had now cos my mate carried on and he managed to get tickets for all Englands World Cup games

Will deffo be joing again this time

Yeah it is. 2 of my mates went to America to see England play and they were offered a ticket for every away game since then.

I've just booked to see us play Holland in Amsterdam in November

According to FIFA the majority of away games are under-subscrbed :S

Tickets haven't gone for Holland match have they? We may try to go for that one!!

No tickets havent gone on sale, but even if I dont get one at £55 return for flights it will be worth it just for the few days in Amserdam, take in the atmosphere and probs get one of a tout outside.

Nath - Can you apply to join now then?
