Engine Mount Bolts keep falling out!!!!
Last night on the way home from work, pulled away in traffic and heard a pop, noise, and subsequent engine vibration, couldnt find 1st gear and had a lot of trouble getting to go anywhere in second.
Called the AA, bloke said the bolts to the engine mounts are loose, one was missing, he said that as the mounts are new, then he reckoned that they hadnt been done up properly.
anyway he jacked the engine up and replaced the bolts, said it should be fine for good now, as he couldnt see anything mechanically wrong
just pulled into work, and it has popped again. dont know what to do now really, shall have to call them again.
has anyone had these problems or can shed some light onto what the fcuk is going on here? cheers
By the way, its a Vectra. a heap of shoot vectra.

could be dangerous. I would replace the mounts and fit new bolts

use a spring washer and like beardy said, thread lock. How tight are you tightening the bolts (Nm)?
