I'm gonna get my car lowered, went to the garage yesterday and he said to me a gmax kit would be just as good as the koni kit. I really want the koni kit, what do you think? Cheers

G-Max as good as koni!

IMO, G-Max are poop. The ride is harsh and the shocks don't last 5 minutes.

Out of 3, it would be Koni, Spax or Bilstein.

lol cheers, it is only like an extra 100 quid for the koni kit as well so i'm deff goin with that...am a right in saying you can't get 60mm springs with koni kits, only lowers 35-40mm?

dunno, but i think 60mm is too low, mine is 40mm down and it scrape on speedbumps... even scraped it onto my drive other day despite my old 1.4 not doing so on Pi -35 springs.

plus i've just got a g-max kit, fitted with poly top mounts and its quite nice i think, better than just lower springs on stnd shocks. although for £80 7 month old i couldn't complain lol

60mm is too low IMO.

The geometry of the suspension is well out and can lead to quicker wear and tear. The camber will be well off, resulting in increased tyre wear.

40mm is about right.

fk are a long way from being the best.

Bilstein sprintline are probably the best you will get for under £500. Gmax are utter shite, as are all of the cheap brands.

Ive had bilsteins on 3 of my cars and they have never failed or given any problems.

I'd get the spax rsx, have been a few cheaper sets being sold by halfords lately, height and rate adjustable I believe
