While TDs have alot of torque, you cant just stick them in any gear and expect it to pull. The problem is the turbo. If you stick it in a high gear with low revs, then you'll lose the boost and it wont be going anywhere fast. They will pull well from around 2,000 - 2,500 rpm but if your doing 1,500rpm or below then dont expect much to happen.

vauxhall used the new 1.3 for about 3 months now. its the y13dt as opposed to the older z13dt. its the same multijet denso management but with a higher pressure fuel pump and slightly more boost. in the new shape corsa d itll be mated to a 6speed box. about time as well
