ive been talking to this lad and he says that a backbox will increase you bhp on your car
i dont think this is true as he thinks its quicker because he thrashs it more to here the noise.
help explain please

A full exhaust system will give you more bhp, but just a back box won't really make much difference. its all to do with the flow of the exhaust fumes...

thats what i said but he say that a fiat machanic (his mate) says it will make a difference

It won't change the flow of the fumes enough to make a difference. Just the tone the exhaust makes.
