following that thread with the link to teeside autodrome I rang them to see whats what with their trackdays.
its £75 for a full day or £50 for a half day of 'testing' (1pm-5pm) we cant orgainise a day as an event as then we would need trackday insurance (£500) and pay for instructors, stewards, safety car....... it would cost far too much.
the testing events are an arrive and drive set-up only on a monday and tuesday. you must wear a helmet (you can hire them there) and its NOT a race. you can drive as fast as you like but no silly stunts and you must have permission from the car infront to overtake them, i.e they will move over to let you past.
spectators are welcome.
How about this as the next north east meet? its in a good location and we can have some great fun. The tuesday after 1pm is probably the better option as its cheaper and 4 hours on track is probably enough.
So Im thinking Tuesday the 29th of August, gives us 4 weeks to prepare. Who's up for it?
