I'm looking to buy a Corsa Sport or an SRi. i have looked at a few now aswell as GSi's. all the GSi's i have looked at were pants so i'm sticking with the idea of a 1.4. the question i need to ask is what engines are fitted in a SRi? as i'm really looking for a 1.4 16 valve engine, just like for example a P reg Sport, where as some people advertise SRi's on a M reg in autotrader as a 16 valve, is this correct?? i'm going to look at a SRi tonight on a M reg, the currant lady owner does'nt know if its a 8 or 16 valve so this will save me the trip.

cheers

they did 2 SRi's, ones 16v, ones 8v. I think it was only the late SRi's that were 16v, 94/95 ish

SRi's had slightly different seat patterns and door cards.

Think they had grey dashes rather than black ones aswell.

Not sure on anything else.

If its a 16v then it will have a big engine cover. If its an 8v it'll just be a little engine. Look similar to the 1.2 8v engine.

SRIs came in 8V and 16V.
The 16V were M and N plates, however some of these are 8V.

SRI changed to Sport on an N reg. Interior stayed the same.

Sport was facelifted on an R plate, post 97 bumpers added and different style spotty interior.

SRIs, E/W, E/M, S/R, PAS, airbag all options.

pre 97 sports; PAS was certainly an option, not sure about the rest.

Have you got the reg of the car you are looking at tonight? Might be able to find out if it is a 16v for you using RAC data search.

They were optional extras in the SRi when new, they were also optional extras in the GSi

My SRi, M311 VEB, has the 'small engine' but pulls just as well above and below 3000RPM. Its got manual windows, mirrors, sunroof, no PAS, no airbags, nothing heated apart from the rear screen..... thought i would add to random specs hehe

@ me?

How do you set up the My Garage, is it a subscription feature?

I also assume that your bumpers etc are painted and not just 'Back To Blacked' really really well? Looks really nice, especially those rear lights, ive always like B's in black though, had a red LS before, was bit shit though
