Gotta agree with Dom on the Kiss media centres, ive set up two different ones now:

1080i HDMI out, component out, plays virtually all disks, streams audio/video and pictures off the pc, streaming internet radio, weather and stocks etc too and is wireless enabled straight out the box, piece of piss to set up. Ive been playing with the HDMI out too and downloading proper media off the net and streaming it over the network to test it out, good results 
The other one ive set up is the DP1500 (http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/114261)
pretty much the same thing but the software seems a bit unstable, no hdmi or comopnent out, few less features and no wireless card with it, although it does have the slot. If you can afford the DP600 then i would definately recommend it
