First game back after breaking finger.

Hi Guys,
Los Amigos FC put a new starting line-up out yesterday for this cup fixture against opponents we'd beaten a few weeks before.
After a fortunate let off in the first minute where the referee disallowed a Redstar goal due to encroachment into the Keeper area, the Amigos went straight up the other end of the pitch & scored. Del, who hadn't notched before this season, lashed the ball into the top of the Redstar net. What a start! 1-0.
Amigos quickly dominated possession & passed the ball around well. Dave Henley, working hard upfront, turned his man several times and the defence were pulled apart by runs/calls from Alan & Jason. Seeing his opportunity to take advantage of the confusion, Dave created just enough space to hammer the ball home! 2-0.
Further dominant possession resulted in a corner. The ball was played across the Keeper's area to be poked home by Del for his second! 3-0.
Jason made several exciting runs but failed to finish the moves when more time had been available.
Los Amigos went in at half time 3-0 up.
The second half saw a few changes. Marcel, Mick & Gary all coming on for Dave, Del & Alan.
Again, Amigos dominated possession & before long Gary was on the score sheet after fine play! 4-0
By now, Redstar were being pulled all over the pitch & players were finding themselves in acres of space. Seeing his opportunity, Mick advanced down the left wing virtually unchallenged. As a defender finally approached. Mick hit a low drive into the far corner of the keepers net! 5-0
Alan & Del came back on the pitch for the tiring Jason & Mick. This created another barrage of chances on the Redstar goal & from one of a number of fine saves by their Keeper, Gary volleyed in a rebound from the left side! A great goal! 6-0
Still more pressure & great tackling produced a one on one for Gary & he coolly slotted the final goal for his Hat Trick! 7-0
Meanwhile, in goal, Ollie had had little to do apart from a couple of through ball clearances. All in all, an easy clean sheet for the returning Keeper!
A great performance guys. Well done.
