ad say it was probably identical to your friends suburu,by the sounds, are is the 6 speed higher powered version but it wouldnt be the best gear change whilst its screaming its head off at you 70 odd mph,the car bleeps at you when you hit a certain rpm,interesting stuff

out of interest, which gearbox is in an R reg 1.6 sport? its one of those things i should know but don't i've had just over 70 in 3rd in that and it was screaming a fair bit

nearly 100 to me means at least above 95 which is still nowhere near 75

80 in 2nd - fto 4spd tip

porsche is 65 as iv never reved her hard enough to try for any more

soarer done just over 90 but it was only a 3sp with overdrive

Roughly:
1st = 45mph, 2nd = 75mph 3rd = 107mph

The gearbox is desgined to be a cruiser, I need to fit an S14a Auto LSD to bring the final drive up to shorten out the gearing. Its too long for my liking, esp 1st.
