I need help from all you cleaning experts on here..
I want to make my car nice and shiny and make the paint look good, the front end has bugs and bits of sh*t al over it and its really stuck on, whats the best way of removing this?
What polish etc is best to use and what process is the best?

autoglym or meguires is usually recommended on here,
What colour is the car?
to get a good shine you really need to work hard at it over a few weeks rather then one big go at it...

Don't use Turtle Wax bug and tar remover wipes, the can scratch the paint. Best thing would be to wash them off straight away. Maybe white spirit would get them off too.
Auto Glym is easy to use but can leave polish dust which is annoying! Meguiars do a 3 stage process which involves a paint cleaner, a polish and lastly a wax. Lengthy process but the results are good.
Use polish cloth netting, you can get a big roll from Halfords for about £4.

I'm not taking the piss, but the bugs will come off easily if you take your time, scrub away with hot soapy water to soften the bugs up and then rub hard with the sponge. A few coats of a decent polish over a few weeks will get it shiny and will look nice. Don't forget a decent window polish too  I only use autoglym cleaning clobber, as it's the best  .

I personally don't like Auto Glym Products as they seem to leave a lot of dust, try www.detailingworld.co.uk and get hold of Chemical Guys or Poorboys stuff. I use a mixture of those two and Megs stuff.

Totally agree about the dust but I prefer them to the megs stuff tbh. Using microfibre clothes is the best way to minimize the dust thats leftover..

Get a Poorboys Waffle Weave drying towell aswell. Have you tried Clearkote products? Try their Vanilla Moose Hand Glaze, amazing stuff.

i use a mixture of a few products, i have a massive amount of Megs stuf, but use AG window polish and a smioniz tyre shine!
i only use microfibre megs super plush cloths as they really are good, well i think anyway!
as for the bugs phil is right, warm water with a car shampoo will get them off, ive found asponge not to be that good though, i use a couple of wash mitts again by megs! megs clay bar is a good tool aswell!

the advantages of a wash mitt ive found is it gets into all the shut lines etc and around by the rub strips and things like that!
and it holds alot of water!

nice warm soapy water and clay bar... gets bugs off well,
then you wanna clean the paint up with a polish or so on,
then seal it all in with a good wax,
i say megs all the way...

AG deep gloss is good on smoke grey cars, i have deep shine and it also good.
