finally put my car on the rollers today and it made -

82mph @ 6976 rpm
161.7hp @ 6712 rpm
153 ft-lbf @ 5039 rpm

the only mods i no it has for definate is a green cotton filter, de-cat and full system.i was told chipped ecu but im not sure anymore?

the opperator doesnt think i have uprated cams unless there really mild as the power comes in from the begining and doesnt drop off much through out!! im really pleased as it now gives me a target to beet with my new engine and im seriously considering running it on bike carbs.

not that...Thats for sure ....My Xe is like blowing through a mcdonalds straw with that 1.4 exhaust section and cat ..

how come it only went to 82mph. i thought they take it to the limiter in 5th

surely its chipped if it hits 7000 rpm .. standard they only rev to 6700 dont they?

mine would go to about 6900 and that was bog standard

Mine got 170 bhp from a full power flow and a bmc induction

Spoke to Dave today (Ritch's brother) and he said that he's sure its got piper cams, enlarged tb, chip with raised limiter. Would the valve stem seals leaking have made it lose any power?

i doubt it would make i loose power. when i bought it i was told its got a chipped ecu and thats it. to be honest im still please with it but i was kind of expecting more from it

the engine is now 16yrs old, burns oil and ive no idea how many miles its done lol
