Was just about to say that, painting a normal color, no probs, painting mettalics is shit, if your painting the whole panel, you have to blend into other panels to make it look right.

Our work is 28 pound an hour labour, then plus materials etc.
It makes no difference what kind of paint it is, you will need to blend it.

We dont blend non mettalic at work??

wouldnt like to have a spray job from you then

Im not a painter, just saying the paint jobs at my work are like that, they look fine tbh, unless its red, tends to look shit when the red has faded, and then a new panel/bumpers painted in fresh red.

well if u get propper paint match i dont really c there being any point in blending!!!!

just bought brother a clio 172 which is noir black colour, really high pearl black!! there are like 9shades of the colour! i just took the filler cap off the car sent it to my paint suplier and they matched the colour, so its will be identical, no need to blend it in cos there is no advantage unless u are blending a slightly different shade!

this is just from my opinion!! sure others will differ!

same with mums car, we bought damaged with wings, bonnet, bumper different colour, just painted them all off the car and could not tell ANY difference part from they were shinyer than the door!!
