Been looking at getting either

Road Angel Navigator 6000 £250

http://www.road-angel.co.uk/road_angel_navigator_6000.htm?source=ggpsran6

or

Road Angel 2 £200

http://www.road-angel.co.uk/new_road_angel.htm

for my christmas. anyone got the above products and could let me know what their like? advantage with road angel 2 is that it picks up safety camera vans and not just gatsos but then for £50 i could have sat nav

general quality of the unit isnt as good as others

to be honest if you buy a vcr tv combo there is a compromise, same goes for this.

Yeah stay as far away from the RoadAngel as you can. I had one for a week and it was crap. Navigation was frustrating, and would routinely give the wrong voice directions. Poor signal, and terrible start up and GPS lockon time.

And yes, the TomTom is the best navigator I have ever seen. Very easy to use, acurate directions, and GPS lockon is pretty good too.

not necessarily. if they were targeting the car in front of you or to the side of you or behind you when the road angel picked it up it gives you time to slow down.
