May I ask why Sheff Wed fans are against this appointment?

here i go with my view.
laws as been at scunthorpe 10 years, if he was any good he would have been snapped up long before now, wise was only in charge of swindon 3 months and got snapped up.
also we have gone for the cheap option again.
wednesday for relegation now, we want our KING back.

Ok fair enough.
For me Laws isn't a bad manager. Its definately the cheap option, but it couldve been worse.

No offence intended but, your not in an attractive position right now. From what I gather your Chairman Dave Allen is a tosser, so who'd want to work with him?

very correct, allen is a prick.
bought the club for 1.25 million and now wants 20 odd million to buy him out.
fair enough we owe him about 5 million with the loans he as lent us.

Your caretaker manager was doing alright wasn't he? Maybe couldve left things as they were for now? Unless they wanted stability.

Big names? WTF have they ever done? In Laws you have somebody that'll be well organised and get Wednesday playing like a unit. Joe Royle? I mean come on Blackwell - spent a lot done nothing, Robson - don't need to even comment, Megson? One good season with WBA, Peter Reid - just about flopped everywhere.
Steve Cotterill, Paul Simpson, Mike Newell - were they big names?

Laws has done pretty well for Scunny and leaves them in possibly their best shape ever, he's brought some really good youngsters through the club. If given time he will do a good job for you, and he certainly won't be afraid to give some of your players an arse kicking. Not good for Scunny though, just heard the Physio is taking control of the first team for now. .

Apparently he has given the chairman his word that he won't poach anybody. Stuart Pearce was here to watch him last week though, so its only a matter of time before he goes.
