Dad did ours a while ago.

1. Clear
2. Sweep
3. Was with water etc to get rid of all remaining dust.
4. Paint using paint from Homebase or something, not sure on cost.

That's what we did. We don't have a smooth floor either - has lasted a pretty long time (getting chipped now) but haven't had cars in it, just mountain bikes

Oh colour = dark redish clay colour.

Yes, of course it will, especially as rubber will be the only contact with the floor. It is just 'floor paint' that you can get at DIY stores, like you can get 'wall paint', 'out door paint', 'shed' paint etc. Dad only did 1 coat I believe - there will most probably be instructions on the tin.

No idea, our floor (standard single garage you can just about fit a Cavalier in) used less than we thought. Depends on coats etc. Like I said, instructions/guidlines will probably be on the can!

as said, give it a sweep and a wee clean then just paint with a roller. Can get floor paint at all the usual places. i have done mine dark red, looks good and is far easier to keep clean etc, shouldnt take long for a garage that size

If you want to do it properly use a floor resin; we've just had the workshop done; its a doddle to clean - grease comes straight off etc.
