Any one know what the actual code is
Engine management light came on took it to vaux. They first said there was no code but the re-aligned the EGR system is this possible?
Next once I had some petrol for the road test the second bloke said it was the EGR valve at fault but its fine now but if it fails again its going to cost me £200. They must feel its going to fail sooon as they didnt charge me for the test

think the code depends on what type of diagnostics chip thing ur car has got (and i think they depend on what type and age engine u have!!)
my EGR valve code was 1405
Have a look at:
www.topbuzz.co.uk
go to "info tech section"
then "reading ECU fault codes"
somewhere on there it describes the "paperclip test" and all the codes and diferent chips, which pins to short out etc etc - top site - helped me lots!!
hope it helps,
Jon
