We get about 1 week of snow a year...if that!!
I know of people that go back to steelies for 4 -5 months!! I dont get it, I could damage my wheels at any time, I just go with it & if they get wrecked buy some new ones or get a refurb.
Also its only people who seem to have a love affair with there sub standard car that does it. Ive got a mate with a porsche & he doesnt care about his cup split rims, another mate with the M3 has 19" CSL's...they stay on on all year come rain hail or shine. Ive always kept mine on every car ive owned

well this may be true but it makes sense putting on wheels with winter tyres on.

have to agree there, little point as damage could ahhpen at any time
Granted you minimise the risk but I really don see the need to do it

Proper winter tyres, perhaps if it snows but how many people are fitting old crappy tyres with little tread left they pick up cheap, only to be fitted in the worst driving conditions there going to be faced with!!

i think the answer here is just leave them on, wash them regularly and when the roads/kirbs are covered by snow just drive carefully and keep your distance from the kirbs lol! sorted

if that is the case then they are pricks!!!! but on the changing wheels i'd say do it if you want to keep your wheels looking good. I say my car is for driving, i do wash my car every week religiously but i drive it more than i clean it!!! I understand both sides of the debate but it's there wheels, let em, plus it gives you summit to do when your bored!!!!!
