Saw this on a post here but dont fully understand how you do it properly ?

Apply the wax while the car is still wet ??

Surely this would be a coont to buff off ?

no, with autoglym super resign for best effect you shud apply it with a tamp cloth as little is better with the autoglym polish.

the rep came into my dads work and told him this.

you will find it comes off alot easier an if you do the proces twice rather then 1 think coat the finihs will be mirror like

Put it on with a wet cloth, then wipe it off when it is all dry. Best off using some quick detailer to help you wipe it iff too, makes it a lot easier

The Zymol wax you put on with a dry cloth, leave for 30mins-hour. Then spray over with a mist of water, leave again for another 30mins-hour. Then buff off. Awesome stuff, smells like something out of the bodyshop/lush!

polish it a good few times then wax it, keep on top of it with wax and theres no real need to polish it over and over

iv polished mine a few times then waxed it, only need to wax it every couple of weeks and the effects are the same, still really really shiny...for silver

Not sure on the effects of the Zymol stuff, as I've only ever used it as directed. I previously would only use Autoglym stuff, but Zymol is a different class, its awesome stuff.

Ok, just to clarify:

Wash car and chamois as usual,
Damp applicator pad/cloth and apply wax using this damp pad/cloth,
Leave wax to haze and dry as usual,
Remove/Buff off with a dry cloth,

Andvantages are that its easier to work with and uses slightly less wax compared to usual methods. There are actually waxes on the market that you have to use the damp method with for it all to work properly, but they;re usually pretty pricey. Lesson Over.

As stated above I usually chamois it till its nearly dry, and then soak a cloth and wring it out, then apply with the damp and buff with the dry

Electric buffers can be risky due to one tiny bit of grit and your left with nice swirley scratches that you can see in the sunlight, personally I'd stick to manual, but then again its up to you!
