Right I am considering getting a HD TV around Jan time...
As it wil only be for my room something like a 23" should be fine, but obviously if its bigger it dosnt matter
Im looking to spend under £500 with 500 really being top of budget, I would like free view built in if poss.
I will have a xbox 360 so want a good connection for that. And I have a laptop that I might plug in so will want a good conection for that aswell, I have S video on my laptop so with my current cables I could plug it into the scart socket. There is a small serial type port aswell, but I assume thats for a printer but maybe as a screen output :S
I saw this and thought it was a cracking deal:
http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=HITA-32LD8A10
So I assume that I can get a smaller screen with all the features I want for around the same price if not cheaper?

I would go for Toshiba, Samsung or Sony.
Although you will struggle with that budget, I bought a discontinued 20" Toshiba without freeview and no HD and that was £350

Where I am now gets perfect freeview on all channels
But I think its the only place in aber that it does work
As I said, freeview would be nice but not essential

I have a Samsung 32" monster in my room and a mahoosive leather armchair right in front of it. Its the idea set up for gaming though sitting that close to a TV that size probably isnt good for my eyes

personal opinion really, and i would say yes for me anyway, but if your used to playing games on pc monitors then you'll be fine with it.
just make sure its widescreen otherwise you wont be able to use the 360 in hd
