Dont have excel.... but i need it for coursework due in tomorrow.
Have a office 97 installation disk at the ready with excel.
CAn i just upload Excel onto my pc or do i need to install the whole CD.... and will it wipe out my XP software?

yes you can choose it during installation (not sure about office 97 though)
Or just download Office XP or 2000
Won't take long if you have broadband

put the CD in, you'll get the options to install whatever components you want. I.e Word, Excel, Outlook etc...

tis 3 options two dont seem relevent and one just says install office 97...... no options for installing programmes seperately at that stage :S

click ok and where it says choose Typical OR Custom choose custom then pick what you need

think you want the custom installation, you get to choose the programs you want to install.
