well the time has come to sell my mk2. i bought this car in october as
a stop gap until xmas when i would be buying something a bit newer. the
car has done 200k but drives like it has done less than half of that
hence why im asking £750 no offers as its worth every penny.
here are the latest pics of the car:
Exterior:
The car is atlas grey and is in fairly good condition for the year and
it has all the usual 90 spec gear on it. since i have owned the car i
have put the later 16v half smoked lights on, smoked front indicators,
spax lowering springs and a set of ripspeed 17" alloys which are like
new and have tyres which have only covered around 2000 miles and are
also like new. The only other mods on the exterios are ones which were
there when i bought the car, these are armour door plates and a remus
back box.
Interior:
The interior is the rainbow style and is in MINT condition with no
rips, tears or what not anywhere.If i was to be picky i would suggest
getting a new gear stick gaitor as the current one looks a bit tired.
Engine/Gearbox:
The engine is the excellent 1.8 16v which has done 200k but runs
perfect and has no smoking or rattling other than when started from
cold until the oil circulates. The gearbox is also in great working
order but does suffer from the known problem of crunching when put into
2nd gear, this only happens once or twice when cold and then goes away
and in no way affects the car.
General:
The car comes with MOT until april 2007 and in my opinion would pass
another one easily today as its in sound mechanical order. Also
included is 4 months tax and a HUGE folder of history including service
bills of which there is part service history, reciepts and lots of old
MOT certiciates up to the present one to confirm all mileage etc. There
is no alarm on the car but there is an insurance approved immobiliser
which your insurance company WILL ask for.
Bad Bits:
Well as with any car that is 17 years old there are some bad bits. I
have covered the minor problem with the gearbox but there are also some
bits of rust on the car. Rather than me trying to explain what they are

Lastly is the dent in the passenger front wing, while i have another
wing already sprayed in atlas grey ready to go on i thought i would
include this anyway:
