Speedometer has stopped working on the corsa, and the steering has started to stiffen up a little bit. Anybody know whats wrong, easy to fix, or expensive?

I was thinking it was a fuse or a cable has come out somewhere, correct me if im wrong though. If it is a fuse / loose cable, which fuse and cable do i need to sort out?

Thanks

wrong section...

and from the top of my head, corsa B's dont have speed related power steering (speed sensitive)

Look in your manual.
Look in Haynes.

Is the speedo cable driven?

What year & model?

1999, B. 1.2 16v.

Also the battery went the other night, and the radio just says "Safe".

I have lost the Haynes manual. Will look at car manual in a bit.

Sounds like the battery went dead as a dodo You thought about getting another one?

What's the alternator like?

The power steering might feel stiffer because you've put the bigger wheels on?

steering will go stiff and Im guessing you have a 1.2 16v or a 1.0 12v?

if so then the epas (electronic power steering) is speedo signal dependant. usually goes light rather than stiff though.

check your fuses, is the ciggy lighter working?

Dunno bought the lighter. Yes, its a 1.2, 16v.

Is it easy to sort out? Can i do it myself if its just a fuse?
