Author manifold and anti roll bar touching

when i put my gearbox back in and put everythig back together my anti roll bar was hard against the maniold. i was told there is a spacer kit made for this?

my mate has ordered new longer bolts and he is using nuts to space it from the manifold.

i just thought i would ask if anyone else had this problem

oh and if there is spelling mistakes i have drunk to much

you dont need a anti roll bar

Spacer is better than taking it off IMO.

Rallyman on here does them I think.

just wondering why i didnt have the problem before, but since i have put the new gearbox back on its hitting.

you got any idea how much the spacer kit is?

get abit of metal box section and use that to space it down.. cheaper than the mounts

Have you just replaced the box with a standard GSi box?

Surely the best solution would be to find out why it is hitting and sort it, cant be anything to much.

Its no wonder most old cars are wrecks when people are saying anti-roll bars are hitting so just take them off

its not essential if you have a decent suspension set up dont want ma wheel lifting off the ground just so i can keep parralel ie what a anti roll bars purpose

how taking of a roll bar makes a car a wreck i dont know

if you didnt have the problem before, you've done something wrong putting it back together somehere. the manifold shouldnt touch the anti roll bar

takin bits off cos they dont fit wen they did b4 gimp (from iangsi16v)

Removing the ARB can improve the turn-in assuming the rear of the car is suitably stiff. Normally it comes at the cost of traction though if you don't have an LSD. I would be curious as to why the manifold is touching it though - that shouldn't happen.
