hi all.
I am building a Corsa GSi rally car at the moment, and i stuck on the inlet, i dont wanna spend £900 for a dblia box or a Mantzel so i have a couple of ideas i would like to run by you.

does in inlet manifold of a X18XE fit on the X16xe?

Has anyone else ever made their own Mantzel style intake box? doesnt look that hard....

you wouldn't want the Z18XE one anyway, it's just as bad.

Dave A is a member on here who is soon going to start selling some nice inlets for the 1.4 and 1.6s

Hi, unknownmanxman

Is it the homologation is a necessity? I think even original mantzel powerbox is not homologated for rallies. I also prepared a corsa for rally (Gp.N) I Stongly recommend you to porting (not only inlet/exhaust) ports on the head. I believe there is "good time benefit" in aluminium part of inlet manifold. Maybe this is a cheap easier alternative.I have one of these and im more than happy with the gains i had with it.

yeah, it was seeing one of these on ebay that gave me the idea of making one my self. cant be that hard hey.

wondering if there is any major issues with size, and internal campacity.
also, are there any benifits to running wee trumpets?
