going against my advice?
if you do go down this route expect to pay about £1200+ fitted and mapped and for 10ish bhp? it will feel quicker but you wont make the most of the cams without the tb's or carbs and after a week of driving with just the cams in you will want more power again....

As the cams IIRC are a decent spec anyway.

most engines will gain with cams but without spending money on the mapping and getting them set up with verniers etc... they dont make a huge difference for the cost. for example:
£300 cams
£180 Verniers
£100 dialing them in
£500 mapping/unichip
and all for about 10 bhp gain? also the bigger the cam in duration/lift the higher up the rev range the gain will be so you will likely lose a bit of bottom/mid range torque to gain power at higher revs.
did a tutorial thingy a while back:

not a lot, maybe none maybe 5 bhp. depends on the cams and condition of engine. theres no guarantee.

I have a question:
Did you cut the bulkhead to fit the powercap?

Not sure mate ask beardy....
Thanks for the advice guys...dave A i wasnt goin against your advice,Im just seeking a different opion that is all...yeah ive spoke to beardy about this 2 and he opted for carb/Tb's..
Im still learning here ya nw.. A place near me can Do a full set up on carbs for £550 its called Bogg brothers...As for the Bhp for that Amount im not to sure like i said im only after a 20bhp gain if that...
As for Tb's you gave me a price for a full set up but like i said to you on msn im not sure if il be keepin the car...
So £1200 for a 10bhp gain, Or £550 for carbs or £2,000 for a full basic Tb set up..
