it is bullshit
if you can feel it pulling to the left then something is wrong, tracking or tyre pressures are the first things to check.

depends how much of a pull it is.
it could be something like tyre pressures, as dave says.
for the tracking to cause a pull, you'd see that the wheels were on the piss.
the camber of the road makes cars pull to the left, but not dramatically.
take it to another garage, get another opinion.

As Robin said road camber can affect it, as can big wheels.
I wouldn't acept their diagnostic/fob off!!
