i wouldnt bother with an induction kit.drill your air box and get a decent panel filter and get a 4 branch manifold for around £130 from ashley exhausts

Hrm, i have a 1.4 8v.
Doing some things sadly you won't gain much for your money with it being 8v it limits what you can do.
If you want an induction kit either viper or a bmc cda with a cold air feed. Drill your air box and get a panel filter like said above. A decent manifold will always help.
I have a remus racing pipe with a magnex oval backbox, kicks out a nice sound.
If you want gains, better cams etc will always help.
Im getting a Unichip + remapping the ecu, decat + 4 branch. Viper + drilled air box. Some cams and other little bits to tune it up.
sadly won't see to much bhp being added but should make it abit more responsive
Price for remap + unichip - £500 give or take, unless you have conections then you might be ok
4 branch hrm 100-150 depends. Viper/bmc's around 130 for a corsa 1.4. decent system (exhaust cat-back) anywhere from 150-200 i would say. drilling the air box can be done urself. New cams well that depends on the sort
hope it helps.
Jay.

Don't be so harsh, could depend on the driver
My 1.4 8v is suprisingly fast with nothing done on the engine i still gave a saxo and alot of other 1.4's a run for there money but thats down to my driving not all the car
although as soon as im in 5th thats it as a 1.4sri 8v has nothing in 5th

i beat one the other day.if you think im wrong your welcome to bring a standard gsi down and prove it.as said it couldbe down to the driver but if you look at the facts a standard gsi wouldnt have much more power than mine and also would depend on the weight of the gsi.
oh and also mine is not a 1.4 i was just saying that 8 valves are as good as 16.mine is a 1.6 btw

Yeh dident expect any replys tbh
Helps alot them prices seem quite decent to me
I did do 2t scooter tuning and exhausts are around the £250-300 mark so these decent prices come as a shock to me
Whats the best shops for the items? any cheap decent online shops you all use...
Also with the drilled air filter vs the induction types im a little confused i think most of you are say just drill the std air box and fit it with a different filter and forget about the induction kit
Thanks for the replys and the tuning guide also the ashley exhausts info

i never said my car was a 1.4 if you read it properly i was just pointing out that 8 valve engines are as good as 16 valvers.

Well i just did some local shopping tbh, talked to some shops and people that fit exhausts (custom or performance type) as they no the shops that sell them.
I got mine from Roadrunner motorsport - i.e. air filter, exhaust system etc.
Hrm other than that it's just hunting for it may it be on general websites, shops or ebay. Keep looking and you'll find what you want.
Sadly for me alot of my mods come from my friends, so i don't no many cheap but decent websites.
Need anything else just u2u me and ill get back to you.
