considering maybe taking out my k&n filter and putting my original airbox back in....just wondering if i shud try the drilled airbox approach???any suggestions????

yes and a panel filter

cannot search and post about a thread some time back...It had loads of pictures and Dave A's tutorial...anyway, check Tutorials & FAQ

what can i expect if i do drill it???is it still ok 2 do this even without a buying a panel filter??

cheers i was reading that b4....think i mite giv it a try...just hope it gives me a louder, better tone cos my k&N was no different to the standard airbox
is there anyone who has already done this on a 1.2sxi??

smaller holes will make it raspier though...(i think)

do u just drill the underside of the box or the left hand side aswel???

you need to drill the side closest to the drivers side wing the bottom of it and the front only drill holes about 3/4 of the way across the front this will minimise the risk of sucking hot air from the engine

was going to start another post about standard airboxes but as this one is on a similar line il just but in lol
was just wondering, will any airbox off a corsa b fit my 1.2 8v? its just im after one at the moment and need to know if i need an exact one for my model!

did u get a decent sound when u done yours???was it louder???? also did u drill all of the drivers side (below filter line)????

I drilled on the underside nearest wing and also along the side nearest wing too about 25ish mm holes, didnt do any @ the front! side only, coldest side obviously

engine is x16xe.... sounded totally different after so good results IMO

My corsa doesnt have a dizzy cap and I bought an airbox from 1 with a dizzy cap

It doesnt fit right cause the hole on the front doesnt line up with the rubber bit to hold it in place

done the airbox today but no luck !!!cud it be that i havent done enough holes???i just drilled the lefthand side making sure i done below the filter line...any suggestions?
