Ok, so i guess when someone says there engine is Misfiring, they mean that one or more of the spark pluggs didn't spark - therefor not creating the explosion needed... right ? My question is.
How would you know if your engine is missfiring ? and i guess you would solve it by cleaning you spark plugs or buying new ones ?
It's never happened to me so i just wanted to know.
Thanks

How do you know?
I knew mine was when it did it on startup. Gobbled like a demented turkey and revved like shit.
The way of solving mine was lobbing an XE in, but you could start with a new set of leads/plugs.

So let take my engine for example, 3 cylinders.
Can one of the spark pluggs missfire ? Or would all three do it.
Also, what would happen if one of the plugs was missfiring, would the car still start ?

put it in 5th at 30mph, and floor it
if it coughs, splutters jolts etc then theres a miss fire, otherwise show pull away cleanly and but in your case slowly

You'll be able to tell by the sound of the engine at idle if its misfiring.
If you suspect a misfire then take a lead off at a time while the engine is running. If the sound/running of the engine doesnt change when i lead is removed then you know thats they cylinder that has a problem

if you want to hear what a misfire sounds like, find a car with ht leads, remove a lead - vola a misfire
you cant do it on your car coz you have a coil pack, ie no leads, direct above sparks
