just changing my backbox for the irmscher one but the connection to the middle pipe is abit stiff!
whats best way to remove it im giving it afew taps of the hammer any more ideas?
im not to clever with cars so dont wana end up blowing it up

take it to an exaust place there heat up the joint with the oxy- acetalene a few taps and off it comes and there stick the new one one for ya. £10 tops and no messing about on cold damp floors/road

lots of WD-40 and as you sed a few short but hard taps with a hammer, keep twisting it aswell

you need to heat the joint up so that the outer pipe one on the back box expands bash it with a hammer and its off.

Try twisting it more than hammering , you can get a very good grip on the back box , with your feet on the back axle
However in this case I did not pull the car off the axle stands.

its off!!!
but this irmscher backbox has like a piece of metal where it fits on inside it... and thats stopping it from going on
maybe i can pull it off!

managed to pull it out think it was just in so it didnt get squashed!
taken it out for a nice ride and i love it

yeh very easy just allow a bit of time if it does stick!
i consider myself shit at doing anything with cars and rarely bother, but an idiot could do it lol.
