IE doesn't support transparent PNG's. They have been around for years. WHhy aren't they supported yet? It can't be difficult to introduce techniligy that isn't even new into a browser yet they still can't be arsed to do so, It's a pain in the cunt.
ie does support transparent pngs, you just have to code a bit of tom foolery so its not that straight forward, but you can get it to work

Needs pixel shaders 3 and as steve said, dx9.
Vista doesn't have dx10 yet.

I agree, when loading pictures on Firefox it scrolls them down the page instead of appearing straight away like in IE. I get on with tabbed browsing though!

One thing about firefox that no1 else has mentioned yet is that when you are on forums(CS is a prime example), if you are half way through a page and click a link, then click the back button, it takes back to the top ofthe original page, not hte place it came from

You have to put in crap in your style sheet to get it to work. It should just work like it does in every other browser.

I used firefox and love it. But on a Mac it occassionally wont let you type in an address or in any text boxes, so you have to shut it down and open it again...annoying!

Not the same thing.
Only thing I can find in Firefox like a shortcut toolbar is the bookmarks toolbar.. which is exactly the same as the links toolbar in IE.

That is quite obviously apples fault though, because when a crappy program crashes in windows it's MS's fault.

I missed out "painlessly". If you have retail, and change a few components, it'll reactivate fine if you're more than 180days since your last activation (as with XP). OEM, however, won't be so willing to reactivate. Or at least that's how I understand it.

I just discovered that if you press Windows + T, it cycles through the thumbnails of the windows along the taskbar. When you're on the window you want, just hit space.
Not sure if that was posted in here, but figured some people might not know.

OSX has something similar to that, press the two side parts on the mouse and all windows pop up and just click on which you want - is a nice feature.
