Had a slow puncture in my tyre for ages. Presumed it was because the tyre hadn't sealed properly or something, as it only ever dropped to about mid 20 PSi. Found out there was a nail in it today .
Luckily (he says!) it's in one of the groves of the tread, so i presume it's repairable?
Any ideas how much this costs these days?

i got one fixed and balanced etc for well under £10, don't know exactly.
i recently had a slow puncture too, went down slowly for weeks until it finally wouldnt stay up for very long at all. put my spare on for afew weeks, then when i was putting rubbish out i noticed a spare tyre i had been given when i bought the wheels down the side of the house i had completely forgotten about it
the puncture was in the sidewall which is why i didn't repair it btw

If its on the flat bit of tread. ie not the shoulders its repairable. Price depends where you go, could be a fiver could be fifteen quid.

Cool . Presume they'll charge a bit more to re-balance it as well, but either way, it's gonna be cheaper than £100 for a new one

Does'nt necesarily need re-balancing. We usually mark on the tyre where the valve is, then when we put it back just line the valve and the mark back up. No need for balancing.

I got mine done free at local kwik-fit type place. Just gave the lad who did it a bit of money to get himself a few drinks
Usually do that, its not worth their while putting it through the books
