after earlier today, i discovered my car is running better than perfect - with no overfueling probs.
i decided to try re-fitting my cams:
the exact same effect as before....
*floods on idle.
*missfires, detonates.
*no idle, not even irratic.
*to start, need to pump the throttle....then hold it wide open, till atleast 2k.
so i put it on my fault code reader, and live readings show:
map pulsing between 10 - 35 psi.........putting the timing right out!
how do i stop the pulses getting to the map sensor??????
has anybody fitted cams larger than 256 to standard x16 management? how did you overcome this problem?......or have you all been using an AFM (c16)

but if anyone would like to clarify, the part numbers of each cam are:
*281 A1 641 00
*281 E1 641 00
im guessing the 'E1' if for exhaust.....
although the valve lift from tdc would suggest the E1 is inlet due to it having .2mm more lift.

hmm it really doesnt like them cams. ive heard something about connecting the map sensor closer to the air filter but you lose throttle response cant even remember where i read it so dont quote me on it .

if i used c16 management it would be fine, as when the throttle butterlys closed, the MAF sensor would pick up barely any pulsing........

The pulsing would affect the air flow meter, causing pulsing air flow instead of a smooth flow through the air meter.

the airflow meter infront of TB......pulsing from inlet behind tb.
closed tb willstop/ dampen the pulsing, back up the inlet tract.

if i put the map sensor onto the servo hose, instead of straight to mantzel, will that reduce it?...
