It was better with Tiff, Vicky and Quentin, when you got a mix of everything, and no silly stunts.

If they did a few special episodes, it'd be better, but they might as well change the name now, it's not really a car show these days...

I can see exactly were the people that say it's gone downhill are coming from from their perspective i.e. the car content.

However for me personally and i'd imagine the wider audience it has far more entertainment value now then in previous series. If i wanted to get into detail about cars i wouldn't be watching a prime time mainstream bbc show i'd go down more specialist routes.

It annoys me how Top Gear thinks its Brainiac. I want to watch cars be driven. I want to know how they work. I want to know about new technology. Just like it used to be. I don't want to be shouted at by Clarkson. Why does he shout all the time now?

There are other places you can do this, the majority of prime time tv viewers want to see silly gags and cows on top of roofs, myself included tbh.

Whether or not this is a damning insight into the pysche of the British viewing public i couldn't possibly comment
