Lol at it being his last game. Hes not really been on form at all all season IMO one of the only differences between us and chelsea - them without Drogba would have not been much special this year, scoring many really important goals for 1-0s,2-1 the sort of games we have not closed off.

Its just been one of those years for him. He just needs some time to recover from all his injuries. You would see how fresher he was after his xmas break but it was not enough for the injury to go.

Its just as well we have had a good run in the carling cup to bring the youngesters in as they are being needed now. A lot of injuries at the moment.

I did laugh at Jol saying how he struggles to play in the cup at the moment as his squad is not big enough, the difference is we bring people in from the reserves and they slot in because the same style of footbal is taught from the bottom level. Nothing stopping spurs putting some more of thier youngsters in thier team

Id have Henry over Eto'o anyday.

Granted Eto'o has the possibility of being as good (better?) than Henry, but finding someone who can score like Henry can in the Premiership is rare, regardless of what they can do in Spain.

Please sell him to us

Thing with henry really is if u look at his arsenal career hes never missed more than say the odd few weeks... never ha d abig owen/shearer style injurty and i guess this year was his come-uppance as it were... i jus think that wenger, having publically admitted how much he likes eto'o, may think well herys almost 31 now, eto'o is 25 and see a potential swap... hes not afraif to do it and we did prove early on in the eason that we could live without him BUT when he cam back recently he scored 3 great goals in 3 games but then picked up the niggles again

I hopw he doesnt go but i jus see those thoughts potentially going through wengers mind :S

Yeah but with van persie doing the creative stuff i see wneger looking for someone to just blast them in like drogba... aka eto'o :S

Im gonna be bold and say van persie has the potential to be as good as henry IMO... certainly better than henry at a year for year basis (ie how good henry was at RVP's age) but it remains to be seen!

End of the day, wneger has to look at all options and look at which combination he thinks will score the most goals and be most likely to win games...

Eto'o: '"I truly believe we are superior to Liverpool and I still think our moment will come in this tie."'

Never mind.

he was shocking against us, but then again he was wide on the left for most of the time he was on the pitch.

He played badly on purpose, so when Liverpool win the Champions League he can say he plays for the Champs next season Masterplan.

And he'd had 5 months out + off the field troubles @ barca....which is why there's rumours of him leaving wouldnt help performances.....

yup, all true.

Just didnt see the point in playing him if he wasnt going to be played upfront in the middle where he is happiest.
