hey people you people that alreadt know me know that i dont keep my corsa's long before another project is started but this one is a project and a half it is a rust bucket and the engine is a bag of spanners. igntion is cream crackerd and seat base and floor needs welding to it as it has snaped and pushed through the floor.
all the dash was also ubolted and was just sloted into place



things to do

replace passanger side door 'got one know needs fitting and preping'
lower it 'springs on the way'
cat back system
post 97 rear bumper 'got from years ago'
gsi front bumper 'getting of ste L'corsa sport/purevaux.co.uk
ew loom regs motors etc 'got them know need fitting though' thanks stubs from corsa sport.!

get rid of the rust
few bits of welding !done!
cure oil leak
fix engine 'think it mybe a head gasket'
repair seat 'all done and all back together'
refit dash 'more or less done but i am guesing i will find other things along the way'
window tints.
vauxhall mats ''got from CoastalCorsa /''corsa sport'







also big oil leak from underneith havnt been under yet but i am expecting the sump top be rotted or the gasket to be gone,

anyway pics so far



also will be updated dayly and also a day late as my camara doesnt like the dark which is when i am working.


should be able to see a bit of rust along the sill even though it is dark


also the heater controls wernt screwed into place either so took the whole lot out and put back in will post pics tomoz of it all back together

seat out ready for welding


the bracket on the floor in basicaly hanging on and needs re welding back into place

were the seat frame had snaped

thursdays progress pics

steering collum out with ignition etc

new collum in with new igntion cap plastics etc changed the barrel though so sstill all one key

some goddies off ebay £10 plus £10 p n p

seat bracket welded up with a bit of mat black over the welds


bit more progress shite pics though.

trim back in with vauxhall carpets looks dierty in pics but is rli clean.



all four arches off and 2 front inner arches and rear bumper off bad pics again as i work outside.

things i am doing tomoz are fit new door glass reg and motor and mybe de badge and strip the car.

right here are a few pics i have been meaning to put on for the last week or so.

bits done

took head off as headgasket had gone

got it skimed and they took 8 thow off it ano its alot but i think the limt of these heads is about 10 i think so should wack the comprestion back up

got new camshaft kit 'so thats camshaft hydrolic tappets new arms you name it i have it basicaly a full rebuild'

got the head gasget kit with head bolts £16 which i thought was mint plus valve stem seals.

got the gsi bumper of good old ste and also a stainless steal cat back system although it looks like its gona be a night mere fitting it as it seems of been welded onto the old car and chwed off wen it was removed..
also got a new timing belt kit and water pump.
erm cant think of anything els at the min but take a look anyway cheers enjoy.

had to get someone to take a pic of me doing the job for collage so will post it here anyway

cheers lads yer gona steam clean the engine bay now the head is off. well head is nice and clean know as you can see so gona steam clean the rest off ans see what happends hey.

update fitted new camshaft and seal

started cleaning valves and re seating them with the oldstick and grinding paste i have done the 4 exhaust valves and refiited them with new valve stem sealts just got the inlets to do know and then rebuild it back together ready for refitting here are piucs anyway enjoy.

4 valves back in and nice skimed head

i hoping engine to be back together by the end of the week. but wanted whole car finished for pvs but you never know when you come across more problem's

i dont know the proper name of the colour all i can ay it is black not ure which one though but i will be having a full respray so when i find out the name i will let you know
