Hopefully moving into a flat next week, however need Sky in as soon as possible really, anyone know on average how long it takes for them to come out and install?
The cabling is already in, so would they send through a box and the card or would an engineer come out?
Thanks for any "relevant" answers

I ordered it via their web site, don't think it took longer than a week IIRC.
Engineer has to come out anyway.

Because mine was at my appartment they said it's not the usually sky engineers that deal with it (which also excluded me from some of the deals that were on offer at the time) because it's a shared dish.
Company came out and installed in within a few days of ordering (it was only plugging in a box, i couldve fuckin done it) Took him 1 whole minute.

I live in a flat as well, cable was already there and litterally took the 1 minute then out the door!!
Took me longer to make the guy a coffee!!
with flats they should advise of a local ariel company who will do it for you!!

I've just finished a development in which I have installed a communal dish as a requirment of planning and wasn't told that it would exclude clients from and Sky packages. Any idea what deals they will not be entitled too? I'm bound to have one of them on the phone whinging and I'd like to be prepared

Doesn't exclude package deals as in the channels and stuff mate.
It was just a deal at the time where if you recommended a freind you got £50 of M&S vouchers. So because I was on a communial dish that would have to be setup by a contracting company of sky's, it meant that my mate wouldn't get the vouchers that's all.
I was still entitled to the "all the channels for £20 for first 3 months" deal
