Just brought a PS2 off a mate as havent got one (never really been into gaming) but fancied a bit of Gran Turismo!!

1st issue was that my TV doesnt have an AV port, so I solved this by buying:

ie. Theory being you can plug it in the scart socket instead.

Done this and I get sound but no picture.

Have tried tuning the channels, wiggling the scart lead around etc but no joy.

Presuming I'm just doing something stupid as surely it isn't rocket science to connect one of these poxy things?!

Any help would be great!!

Are you plugging the smaller connection into the back of the PS2 and the scart connection into your TV?

Yeh!!

I've tried everything I can think of, think I've got a dodgy scart lead
