Last summer/autumn i bought the engine for this project. Plans were to put it in in the new year as the corsa was going to be garaged over winter. So inbetween then i put away some money in a pot ready for the project in the new year.

Then in December I went with my mate to pick up his new car, Astra Gte Champ Turbo and after going in that I instantly wanted a LET.

I got in touch with the chap who was going to do my conversion and he had a spare one which he was rebuilding so i was starting to contemplate this. Looking at the costs and insurance it looked pricey. I looked around for a while for cars already with a LET in. But it was too much at the time and I couldnt bring myself to part with Brocade Yellow at the time so i stuck with her and got my man to rebuild my C20XE engine.

At the moment its nearly finished being re-built. I havent got any pics of the engine yet but ive had the covers decorated to match the body colour and wheel colour thanks to the one and only Iaz - Flaming Corsa.

Pics of covers. XE and more progress pics to follow in the next few weeks.
