I have a 30GB Creative Zen Vision:M, it's ace. Paid like £230 for it, as I got it when they first come out.
The good thing about it over the iPod Video is it takes any video format, not just mp4 AND comes with a video converter if what you have is weird.
If you want an all out video one, it has to be an Archos of some kind.

got an ipod video 60g, good bit of kit.....havent really used it for videos, just music. and yea the standard headphones are shite, but get some decent sonys or Sennheiser's off amazon (15 quid or so) and your laughing 
Itunes is shit and if your not worried about video and photos then winamp is a perfect combo, and if you get a pro key (sure you can find one  ) t hen it'll transfer tracks on the fly (ie: flac -> mp3 etc) before being uploaded to the ipod
