Nothing will happen in Manchester. All the "Ultra's" wont come over at all, and our Old Bill know how to police games properly. Only Roma fans walking arounf that night will be official supporters from the club, straight in, straight out.

You've taken part of what I said totally out of context, I'm not saying visiting supporters should expect to be beaten with a bat, I'm saying visiting fans should expect there to be a hostile atmosphere - any travelling supporter who goes to a Italian match and doesn't expect that kind of atmosphere is naive in the extreme.

watch the highlights and judge for yourself...the police reacted ONLY to Man U fans who reacted to Roma fans provocation. The police was very partial and did nothing to stop Roma's fans

I watched the game lived and judged it for myself, My opinion wasn't based on anything other than what I saw, the same as what everyone else who watched it saw.
My opinion last night is the same as what it is now "in the cold light of day" - I won't sugar coat my opinion of things incase I may upset a few people on here, yes I support an Italian team (Inter Milan) aswell as I support Ipswich Town but that doesn't mean I'm going to blindly defend situations like this, I stated last night that the police were ott and I still think that, I also stated that I think the Man Utd fans were the main cause behind it all starting and, guess what, I still think that aswell.
There is NO justification for anyone beating a woman or a child - that is wrong, and I totally agree, but ask yourself this, why was this woman and child so close to the barrier that seperates the two fans - considering that the Man Utd fans had to go a fair distance to get to that barrier!
Again, just to clarify, I'm not justifying how the police dealt with things as they got it all wrong, all I'm trying to say is that there is always two sides to every story.

That's what I was lead to believe anyway? Maybe I'm wrong - I think it happened once before in 1986 I think it was.....
If you kick Roma out for the behaviour of their fans last night then you also have to kick out Man Utd - both as bad as each other.

there was the perspex was to separate them. OK ManU should not have RUN TO the barrier while Roma's fans WERE ALREADY there?
Why were Italians fans allowed to be banging on the perspex and throw bottles to the other side while ManU fans were not allowed to come 10 yards from the perspex? Why was there NO police on the other side of the separation?
and why is it always Italian football having these problems? This doesn't happen in England...

Why? To stop trouble! As what happened when both factions got there!
If the Man Utd fans hadn't of gone to the screen there wouldn't of been as much trouble as there was, Roma fans wouldn't of been able to fight with themselves.
And it happens in Italy more than most as they need to review and overhaul how they control their games.

iF The italian fans couldn't fight with Man u fans, yeah they would fight the police or themselves..Happened a few years back at an Italy v Scotland game in italy.

International games are different as you get fans from different domestic clubs all mixed together, where as domestic football is different as the fans are all effectively on the same team - I can't recall ever seeing any domestic fans fighting amongst themselves ever.
