400 miles in a 1 litre
I'd be lucky if I get 300 miles, then again, I've never run it into the red, and do a lot of motorway driving, which isn't good for a 12v, as the engine is running at such a rate.
Like I said, never even had the needle go into the red.

club of heavy right footers again .
Ive had nearly 450 to a tank (445 to be exact) in a 1.4 8v.
At a steady 70mph 99% of the time i average 47-48 miles to a gallon. Those 12volts must be heavy on petrol .

220 miles on my 1.2 8v then the petrol light comes on,thats just commuting to work and back, a lot of starting and stopping.
i never let it get to the stage of the red light put 39litres in yesterday and cost £36.50 then the petrol pump handle started clicking telling me that it was kinda full.if i done a lot of motorway driving i reckon i could get a lot more miles to the gallon

I really did laugh out loud at that!
I don't know how much my tank holds, 30 litres takes it from empty upto just under 3/4. I can get just over 320 miles on 30 litres. 1.8 16v.
