After splitting with the girlfriend, we finally came to the agreement that we should sell the house and both start again. It got messy at times but I think it's best for the both of us.

We purchased the property for £157,000 back in Dec 05. Had it valued on Saturday at it's on the market for £172,995 (they said we could push for £175,000 but if we fancied a quick sale then we should lower it a bit).

Quite happy with that though gutted I have to sell it. I'm just grateful the profit will cover the fees etc...

Had 3 viewings already and have another one on Wednesday. 1 couple came back again to have another look and even made an offer! (we declined but they are still interested - they wanted me to leave the sofa.... er..... na

)

Looks like I'll be taking the sofa back to my mum and dad's

along with the TV and other large items. Sucks and it'll be weird to not have that freedom but I'm sure it won't do me any harm. 6 months at home, perhaps a new car and a mental holiday or two and I'll start to look at places to rent. No way will I be getting another mortgage unless I'm absolutely certain.

I shall keep this thread updated as things progress

it will suck being back with the parents, i did it when i was 17 after a year of having my own place

Honestly dont think i could part with my house now either

but at least you'll get some profit in your pocket!
