Hope someone comes up with something for them. Surely there is a local company that could put some money into the club. No-one seems to care about their towns football clubs anymore.
Think due to all the money being at the top of the game nowadays that people see putting money into smaller clubs as throwing money down a black hole. Its a sad indiciment of what the game has become. Modern football is souless and it fucking stinks

Don’t agree with that myself, small clubs must learn to stick to long term bisness plans so they can stand on there own 2 feet. Some sides (im not saying Scarborough have done) are in these positions because they have chucked money about they don’t have.
Shouldn't be up to other clubs to bail them out, it should be up to the FA to distribute the money they make better, so things like this dont happen. Instead of paying whoever wins the Premier League £30 odd millon they could use about 1% of that and save Scarborough

I'd agree with Robbo, it's not bailing them out it's keeping the game in a healthy state from the bottom upwards. All the money is where people want to watch football the Premiership and to a lesser extent the Championship why not balloon some of that money down through the lower leagues of the game?
I bet the budget for Arsenals academy for 1 season would have kept Scarborough afloat, why not apportion some of that money to keeping the lower leagues alive and healthy?

Football is a business these days. Rival business (in effect what football clubs are) dont help each other out do they? You'd never see ASDA giving money to Tesco's to keep a store open would you.
I agree with passing money own to the lower leauges, the FA get money from SKY, BBC, CocaCola etc etc, they should be the one's who distribute money out more fairly, shouldn't be upto the individual clubs to donate money (although I agree it would be a nice touch)

You're getting the analagy all wrong Asda doesn't need Tesco to survive, the big teams in the top 2 divisions need the lower league clubs.
If there was only an elite league of 20 big teams for example the heart is ripped out the game, whats to play for? where do the players come from? and where does the money get filtered down from the purchase of those players?
I'd bet if there was an agreement that a relatively small, for the top teams, balloon payment were to be made for teams like Scarborough 99% of the top level managers would be for it.

Exactly... it wouldnt be much money, but it would help keep the leagues going... if theres no lower leagues then amateur football will die... nobody will get anywhere unless they are very very good...

Yes the McCain stadium is very nice for that level...played there years ago for Burscough FC Youth team in the FA Youth Cup where we drew 3-3 with them...then took them back to our place and give them a beating
